Wyoming Fire-EMS has a rich tradition in the volunteer fire service with nearly 120 years of continued fire protection services to the residents of Wyoming and surrounding communities. Today, Wyoming Fire-EMS is a combination department made up of volunteer firefighters and EMT’s, part-time paramedics, and a career fire chief. There are also a number of high school age cadets that provide scene support and other assistance during runs, as well as attend trainings and meetings.

Wyoming Fire-EMS offers its residents and surrounding community’s professional level Fire Suppression, Advanced and Basic Life Support, Fire Prevention, Fire Investigation, Hazardous Materials Response, and Basic Rescue while keeping costs to citizens down by having a predominately volunteer department. In addition to a high level of professionalism, Wyoming Fire-EMS also prides itself on a diverse department that is truly reflective of the community. The volunteers at Wyoming Fire-EMS are of all ages, races/ethnicities, sexes, religions and socioeconomic backgrounds that work together during times of emergencies toward the common goal of serving and protecting their community. Because of this unique culture of diversity, Wyoming Fire-EMS is thought to be the true definition of a volunteer Fire-EMS department.
